Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, Dickinson College
Dickinson College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in our Environmental Studies Department, commencing July 1, 2018. The successful candidate will approach environmental challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective and will use active pedagogy to engage students in the field of environmental studies. The candidate will teach a total of five classes during the year including Environmental & Social Justice, Environment & Society, Environmental Policy, an upper level in their area of expertise, and one repetition. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies or a related social science field, such as Political Science, Policy Studies, Geography, Anthropology or Sociology, although advanced ABD standing may be considered.
