POLLEN18: Call for Conference Volunteers!

THE POLLEN18 CONFERENCE IS LOOKING FOR STUDENT-VOLUNTEERS!

Would you like to volunteer at an international conference on sustainability and the environment? We need you to make the POLLEN18 conference a success!

When: 19-22nd of June 2018
Where: Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet)

We are looking for student volunteers who can help us with:

  • Coordinating programme activities
  • Monitoring sessions
  • Registration
  • Greeting and assisting delegates
  • Technical support
  • Several other interesting tasks

POLLEN18 is an international conference for scholars in the inter-disciplinary field of political ecology. The conference focuses on the present drive for a green economy and various alternatives. You can find more information about it here: https://politicalecologynetwork.com

As a student-volunteer you will get a unique opportunity to expand your international network while getting a behind-the-scenes perspective on a large-scale event. As a volunteer you would develop valuable organizational skills and in addition we can offer you:

  • A welcome-reception at Oslo City Hall with the conference participants
  • Free participation in conference sessions of your choice while you are not at work
  • Flexible working schedule
  • Food while you work
  • Social event with all volunteers
  • A simple introduction to the conference topic
  • A certificate and recommendation letter

All volunteers will receive training and support from the conference volunteer-coordinators prior to the conference. You should mostly be based in the Oslo area to volunteer for us.
