Our beautiful header image is from a collage by Melis Ece called “I Will Be”. The piece was originally designed as a poster, accompanied by the lyrics of the song “Summertime” as part of a series of works entitled “Connective Currents.”
The image on our ‘Welcome’ page is a photograph of Diné activists in the New Mexico desert, taken by Dana Powell during research for her book Landscapes of Power: Politics of Energy in the Navajo Nation.
